Paris in May

I took a few days off from work and as a preparation for my Art Valuer exam I decided to go to Paris and spend as much time as I can in the Louvre. J

I booked a hotel close to the Jardin Luxembourg (that I like very much) and basically just walked around the area and to the Louvre too. (I am not really fan of the metro in Paris anyway)

So here you are some paintings (or fragments of them) for today:

Eugène Delacroix: Liberty Leading the People.

The artist's signature.

Eugène Delacroix: Orphan Girl at the Cemetery.
I find this painting so delicate, so moving. Beautiful.

Paolo Veronese: The Wedding at Cana.
In the other side of the room is Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa.

View of the Louvre and the courtyard.

Eugène Delacroix:The Death of Sardanapalus.

Jacques-Louis David: The Intervention of the Sabine Women.
