Museum of Fine Arts / Budapest

The Museum of Fine Arts closed its doors until 2018 for an amazing transformation.

When you work in a museum a lot of your time you spend in your office and forget about the paintings on the walls. You are busy with Word documents, Excel files. You need to decide on budgets and new products for the shop.

Suddenly I realised that I am here for two and a half years and there are rooms I visited only a few times. Each day during the last week I took at least 30 minutes to see some of the paintings.  I also wanted to mix with the crowd who wanted to see the last temporary exhibition (Rembrandt) or the permanent collection. Each day we had queues before 10 am already and buzz in the main hall. It was fun. And I loved it very much.

The queue each day we had in the last days.

Work in progress - the Rembrandt posters for our shop are printed.

Museum education for children.

We had a timer to count the remaining days.

One day and 12 hours and 48 minutes to visit us.
